I Have A Dream... 01/16/2012
We all have dreams. Realize that with hard work and determination, it IS possible to make that dream come true. That's why we're working so hard educating our kids, to help them realize that dreams can be a reality. TM : ) Add Comment Homeschool MNO- Have You Been? 01/05/2012
I went to a homeschool MNO (Moms' night out) the other night, it was the first one I've been to in, hmmm, about 6 months! I completely forgot how important going to these gatherings are. You are surrounded by women who are the most resourceful, understanding, and encouraging when it comes to your homeschool lifestyle. Got a question? Someone there is sure to answer it. New to homeschooling? You'll get bombarded by other Moms who will help you find your way. Just need to be away from your kids for a few hours? Attend a MNO and your patience will last an extra hour! lol If you have a homeschool MNO near you... GO!! You won't be disappointed and you'll meet some very nice Moms who seem oh so familiar, yup, they're just like you! TM : ) P.S. If you're in the Orange County area and would like to attend a homeschool MNO, contact me and I'll get you the information. Is Anybody Home?? 12/15/2011
Wow! It's a GHOST town around this blog... I'm still here and I still homeschool my kids. I guess that's good to know. If you're visiting for the first time, WELCOME... and if you've been here before, yes, I know there are a few cob webs forming at the corner of this blog! Now that I've been away as long as I have, I want to come back and start again... maybe start something new... something fresh... something I don't know what it'll be yet, but I'm a homeschool Mom, I'll figure it out, I'm resourceful, aren't we all? So come and see me soon, and we'll chat again another time. TM : ) P.S. If you're new to this site, feel free to look around. I may not always be here posting, but I've got some good resources if your looking for information about homeschooling (or alternative ways to educate) in California. You Matter! 09/22/2011
Hello! You're here! And you're SO important! Remember that. TM : ) She MUST Be A Homeschooler! 09/14/2011
Hi! Hope your homeschool life is running smoothly... or as smoothly as can for the beginning of a new year... lol Take a 10 minute break and call your kids to the computer, this young lady will inspire and hopefully make everyone excited for future possibilities. Have a wonderful day! TM : ) Happy Friday! 09/02/2011
Have a wonderful and safe 3 day weekend! TM : ) I'm doing it!! I'm homeschooling my kids and getting my laundry done! Whoo hoo! It's only taken me, hmmm, 8? 9 years to figure out how to do both? lol Okay, I'm kidding, BUT... I'm much more relaxed than I thought I would be and the laundry pile doesn't seem so scary anymore. Or maybe homeschool doesn't seem scary anymore. Ahhh, that must be it! I know what you're thinking... "Tracy, what are you talking about?" Well, think about it, the longer we do something, the better we get, the less scary it seems and the more relaxed we become. How's that? Good huh? You were trying to figure out how I was gonna put homeschool and laundry together and I did it! Have a WONDERFUL day! TM : ) Welcome to 2011-2012 School Year! 08/24/2011
Hello! I hope you had a refreshing summer break, I know I did! Now give yourself a BIG pat on the back, and say,"I can do this!" Oh come on, nobody's looking... We're starting a new homeschool year together, so come back every so often and I'll try to keep you (and me) encouraged throughout the year. Now, if you don't see new posts up, don't think I'm giving up on encouraging you, just look on my sidebar... over there, to the right and a little below, and click on a topic that you'd like my perspective on. I've got lots! Once again... Welcome back (well you know, it's not like we homeschoolers ever stop teaching/learning, even in the summer. I shouldn't say Welcome Back, how about, Nice to see you again!)! TM : ) Aloha A Hui Hou 05/12/2011
This is harder to write than I thought. Over the past months (I don't want to say years because I haven't gotten to year number 2 yet) I hope that I have inspired, encouraged, made you laugh and most importantly, made you feel that you could do anything... you're a homeschool Super Mom after all! I will be taking a long and very needed break from posting on AskTracy. With summer around the corner, I figured this is the perfect time to do it. Mahalo for all your comments and wonderful emails and especially to those of you who visit me everyday. You know who you are! If you need to contact me, you still can by sending me a note through my comment section somewhere on this site, I think it's in in the Who? section. Have a wonderful summer, and I leave you with this quote from a famous part-time homeschooler... "Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning." - Albert Einstein Quote Of The Day 05/11/2011
Do you think General Patton would have been a great homeschool Dad? Ah, we'll never know, but his words in this quote might ring true for many homeschoolers.
