Rigid Schedules 02/03/2011
 
I am always surprised by homeschoolers who are so rigid with their schedules.  We're homeschoolers for goodness sakes and we can be flexible when something comes up.  I plan 2 parties a year for the homeschool community and when I ask if a family is coming, the response is, "Oh, that's when we do our weekly blah-biddy-blah... sorry, we can't be there.  But thanks!"

 Weekly!  They do it every week.  That's what that means right?  I don't understand why a homeschool family would choose something they do every week for the past who knows how long, and miss an opportunity to do something fun with the homeschool community that happens once a year.  I just don't get it.  Ahhh, well, everyone is different and that's what makes homeschool so great.  So here's to uniqueness and remembering flexibility in our homeschool lives!   TM : )
