Do you still get questioned by strangers about why your kids are out of school? I'm sure you do, because I still do after all these years. You've heard them all before, the questions are basically the same, "Is it a school holiday?" or "No school today?" Yes, we've heard it a million times and to keep an expressionless face that doesn't scream something like, "None of your business!" can sometimes be a bit of a strain. I think people just automatically say things without thinking. Here's an example that we're all familiar with: You see your neighbor washing their car, so you automatically say, "My car next!" In my preMommy days I was a flight attendant and when I greeted the passengers entering through the 1st Class Cabin (the only entry for all passengers) the response from them was always the same, "Did you save these seats for me?" Automatic. Without thinking. So instead of rolling your eyes at the next stranger that asks you the same old questions, do like I did when I was a flight attendant...
