Tolerance 12/07/2009
How do you change someone's truth when they believe with all their being that they are right? Even though we look at the same situation from two sets of eyes, our views are completely opposite. So whose truth is the right one? As adults we need to remember to have an open mind to various ideas. We might not always agree, and we might not be able to change someone's truth, but we can certainly pass on the ability to be accepting of different perspectives to our children. Our children are our future and to teach them tolerance is a truth that, at least for this once, we can all agree upon. TM : ) Commentsmm 12/07/2009 1:12pm
Well said! Tolerance is key to peace. Having an open mind and, with it, the realization that one can be faulty, is a higher function of the brain, after all.
