Yippee Friday 03/12/2010
Yes, I'm gonna say it again... YIPPEE! It's Friday! I'm going to take the weekend off, I hope you do too. If you're reading this over the weekend, I have LOTS for you to read. Just look on the right at all the topics I've written for you to think about. You know, it's all encouraging stuff, some fun stuff too. So until Monday, I'll leave you with one of my favorite posts titled, Friday Cheer... We are the homeschoolers, the mighty, mighty homeschoolers... every where we go, people want to know, who we are, so we tell them... WE'RE ON A FIELD TRIP! TM : ) 1 Comment Friday's Song 03/05/2010
Sing very loudly to the tune of "If You're Happy and You Know it"... If people are looking, sing louder! If you homeschool and you know it clap your hands, If you homeschool and you know it clap your hands, If you homeschool and you know it, than your kids will surely show it, If you homeschool and you know it clap your hands! Have a great weekend! TM : ) Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking? 02/26/2010
Let's play word association. Read the words below and think about the first word that pops in your head. Let's see if we're thinking the same. Ready? Friday Weekend No school Wine Scroll down for my answer: YEA!!! Have a great weekend, you deserve it! TM : ) Thanks For Visiting 02/20/2010
If you are reading this post on the above date (Saturday), I want to thank you. As most of you know, I'm here to help you through the week by encouraging you and making you feel that you are not alone in this thing we do daily... teaching our children. Homeschool can be lonely at times, but knowing that there is a place that you can click on for words that understand you, makes it a little less remote. Thanks again for visiting on your Saturday. Come back again as I enjoy your company. TM : ) Too Fast! 02/19/2010
We have made it to another Friday! This is going by too fast. Next thing you know, it will be the end of the school year, then summer. I can't even begin to think that far ahead! I just read Tara's blog and she's ALREADY picking her curriculum for next year! YIKES! Okay, breathe Tracy... inhale, exhale, wait a second... I'm not in labor or anything, it's just school for Pete's sake! And, who is this Pete guy anyway? I think I'll Google him. I think I'll Google how to keep time from moving sooo quickly. I think... I think I won't think and just enjoy the up coming weekend. TM : ) Checking In 02/13/2010
This will be short. It's a 3 day weekend and I want to get back to laughing at... whatever. : ) But I do want to check in with you. You have been visiting with me almost every day! Hey, we're friends and friends are there for each other. So, the next few days (Sunday & Monday) you will get my automated (okay, not really automated, I still come to this site and write in it) Quote of the Day. It's my mindless posts and there are so many good quotes out there to think about. Have a good rest of the weekend and I'll be back on Tuesday. TM : ) Whatever! 02/12/2010
Guess what today is? YES... Friday, and a 3 day holiday weekend... YIPPEE! Can you tell that I've had a LONG week? But it's over and now it's time to be goofy and just enjoy being brainless and laugh with the kids about... whatever! So I'm off to be goofy and if you catch me out in public laughing, I promise, I'm not laughing at you. I'm just being silly and laughing with my kids at... whatever! You should try it, makes people look at you funny. : ) TM : ) Mahalo! 02/06/2010
This note is to thank all of you who have inspired me to keep on writing. You all have encouraged me, thanked me, and written me the nicest comments. I do this for you as much as I do this for me. It helps to remind me why I homeschool to begin with. Have a great rest of the weekend and mahalo once again for all your support. TM : ) Weekend 01/30/2010
It's the weekend, and I'm feeling pretty casual with my writing. I try to encourage you and inspire you during the week days, but the weekends, I tend to feel relaxed (hopefully) and a little more playful and empty brained! I hope you take the time for yourself during the weekends to take off your "teacher cap" and put your fun loving "Mommy cap" on. I'm not saying that we're not fun-loving during the week days, I'm just saying we are a little more serious with our thoughts on how to make it to Friday. Be free to relax and don't worry about every little thing that pops up to turn in to a school project. You do that, don't you? I know you do, because I do the same thing! The weekends are made for relaxing, throw your "teacher cap" in the closet. TM : ) Rain 12/12/2009
As I look out the window on this dreary morning, the rain makes me feel like everything is new again. The trees, the plants, the day has a magical feel. It's the perfect morning to bake cookies with the kids and listen to holiday music with a roaring fire in the fireplace. Now for the real deal... my husband and I are playing tag team for which child goes where and who's making lunch and what time does the friend's party end so we can figure out when we are getting the Christmas tree (that we promised the kids), in the rain. Throughout the day as the rain comes down, I'll know that the perfect morning that is in my mind will stay with me. Let's see if I can make the perfect morning a reality tomorrow. TM : ) | E Komo Mai
