It's that time again when I write about my favorite topic... TIME MANAGEMENT! YEA! Okay, not really, as I haven't mastered the concept of what works best for my family and I'm still looking for a solution. I don't know what it is that keeps me from organizing my time. Is it my homeschool mentality? You know, being so flexible that time seems to escape the clock. I carry a calendar in my purse, I write to do lists, but it seems like I still can't manage my time the same way I can't find that missing sock in the laundry pile! So I'll ask you to encourage me with what works for you. Do you have any creative/useful advice that can save me a few minutes here and there? Would love to hear from you. TM : ) 4 Comments So I wrote a post the other day asking if you were ready. But am I? The answer is........ NO! It must be the way I do things, I'm very lax about how I go about teaching my kids. This drives people who have a schedule CRAZY! I know I should be a little more structured, but this seems to work for us. But times are changing and this year my oldest will be in 7th grade. SOoooo, I plan on being, well, more timely? Maybe more organized? I'm holding my breath while writing this, but I'll keep you posted. In the meanwhile, what works for you? Have any suggestions for me? Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by. TM : ) Time. Yes, I'm talking about time management again. It's that endless conversation that I have with myself and my children. In my mind I have lots of time to do this or that, but in the real world... hmmm... lets just say the alarm clock goes off a little sooner than expected. Maybe it's all about patience. Maybe I DO have the time to get everything done, but I try to fit too many items in a short amount of time and really all I need to do is shorten my list on a daily basis and that would be that. Done. Presto. Ha! Easier said than done. So in the mean while, I'll just push the snooze button one more time! TM : ) What are you teaching your kids today? Me? I think I'll teach organization skills or do another chapter on time management. We really need to review our time management skills as the first chapter simply flew over our heads! You say you're teaching math? I'll have the kids do math a little later. Just as soon as I have time to find the math book which is in its proper place (not)! TM : ) Time. We all get the same amount everyday. So how come some people have more than others? As a homeschool Mom, time is an asset for my family and sometimes a liability depending on how you look at it. Here's a good example of time on our side... Some days homework is done in a blink of an eye. Yea for homeschool! Now here's an example of, looking on the bright side... Other days, time management is nowhere to be found. Yea for homeschool! Remember, I'm looking on the bright side. Thank goodness there are no alarm clocks, school bells, or tardy bells to tell us where we are supposed to be at that moment. Time, is a perspective. Make every minute count. TM : ) | E Komo Mai
