Happy Rambling 05/04/2011
I am so happy that I am able to make a positive difference in other families lives. Those of you who know me outside of this website, know that I am very involved in the "underground" community known as homeschool. I am passionate about informing families on their options when it comes to educating their children. I believe that the more you know, the better, especially when it comes to your child's education. Since I'm on a happy rambling streak, I would like to add to my happiness a "thank you" to the wonderful readers of AskTracy for keeping me on my toes. Your emails and comments constantly keep me on top of things! This quote is for you... TM : ) Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. "Pooh!" he whispered. "Yes, Piglet?" "Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw. "I just wanted to be sure of you." ~A.A. Milne 3 Comments It's Not So Bad in the Closet... 03/12/2011
It's Saturday! Do you know where Friday went? Good grief, time flies when it's filled up with a busy schedule! I'm sure it's the same for you, so this is what we need to do... take 10 minutes and hide. What? I'm serious. As soon as I'm finished writing this, I'm hiding in my closet! I'm going in, shutting the door and taking a deep breath. I'm going to talk to myself and be thankful for my family, my friends, and be grateful for all that I have. And at the end of my conversation, I'm going to wrap my arms around myself and say, "You did another fine job this week Tracy! Good for you!" And if I can reach, I'll pat myself on the back while giving myself a big hug. Try it. Feel good about yourself. You deserve it! TM : ) We Did What? 01/24/2011
It is the end of a long Monday and I'm pooped! I know that the kids and I got plenty of work done, but sometimes it seems like I ask myself, "What did we do today?" So just a reminder for you and myself, let's go over the list... 1. We got up, had coffee and hugged the children. Not necessarily in that order. 2. With our beds made (does throwing the pillows to the head of the bed count?), we were ready for our learning by 9am. Well, most of us were. 3. Music, science, handwriting, Scholastic News, literature, and giggling about a silly joke was done by one child or the other. 4. Lunch break! : ) 5. Finish up our to do list. Not much left, but crossing stuff off sure feels good. 6. End the day with kids doing taekwondo and me rushing to Trader Joe's with another list while they're in class. 7. Dinner, baths, bed, more hugs and kisses... lights out. 8. Oh my gosh... breathe! Put our feet up, know that we had a full day and be thankful that we did what we did. The kids are healthy, growing, and thriving. Isn't that what it's all about? Whatever your list looks like, you did it, you finished, what an accomplishment! TM : ) Happy Thanksgiving! 11/24/2010
Enjoy your time with your family this week, I know I will! I'm taking a little break from writing this week, but I'll be back after the turkey is gone. : ) I'm leaving you with a repeat from last year called, "Thankful." Have a safe and warm holiday! TM : ) Thankful. That's how I feel this time of the year as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches. With many uncertain of what the near future holds, there is a constant in our homeschool lives that will remain... our strength with our hearts and minds... to pass that along to our children is a thankful gift in itself. TM : ) Say it out Loud 10/08/2010
Repeat after me... "I am awesome!" Come on, just do it! "I give with all my heart." You do, so say it out loud. "It's okay that my kitchen is messy." It really is! "My kids are doing GREAT!" And they are. "I'm so thankful that I am able to guide my family the way I do." So am I! Have a wonderful weekend, you deserve it! TM ; ) BIG Mahalo!!! 09/17/2010

The more I read about the school system in our country, the more I am thankful that I am able to homeschool my children. I'm once again reading, "Dumbing Us Down" by John Taylor Gatto. As I reread the pages that I've read so long ago, I am reminded that what I do, what we do, is important. It's more than education, it's a feeling of wholeness. For our children and for our families. Keep doing what you are doing, it's working! TM : ) Tennessee, Alabama, Texas... 05/25/2010

Homeschooling in our country is growing quickly as budget cuts and oversized classes are in every parent's mind. The homeschoolers are a force for the future. We will teach our children that they can be anything they want and be the BEST at what they do. Encouragement is one of the reasons I stay homeschooling and I hope by reading my blog you are encouraged to keep on going as well. Thank you for visiting AskTracy! TM : ) | E Komo Mai
