Me? Ready? 08/05/2010
So I wrote a post the other day asking if you were ready. But am I? The answer is........ NO! It must be the way I do things, I'm very lax about how I go about teaching my kids. This drives people who have a schedule CRAZY! I know I should be a little more structured, but this seems to work for us. But times are changing and this year my oldest will be in 7th grade. SOoooo, I plan on being, well, more timely? Maybe more organized? I'm holding my breath while writing this, but I'll keep you posted. In the meanwhile, what works for you? Have any suggestions for me? Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by. TM : ) 2 Comments Organization 01/25/2010
Okay, here I go... NO! I don't want to! Yes, I must. Just say it already... ORGANIZATION... HA! I said it! That wasn't too bad. So how do I start? Well, maybe I'll start my new organization skills by looking at my school nook once in a while and pretend it's in order. Nope, no can do. How about hiding the stuff on top and putting it underneath? Ummm... NO. Hide it under my bed? Nada. I KNOW! I'll pick up 5 items every time I pass by. I think I can, I think I can! I CAN do that. Do you need to do that too? Okay, we'll do it together. One step at a time, you know, baby steps. Didn't I just write about that? But this time we'll use it for organizing our school stuff. Okay, gotta go. I'm on my way to a cleaner school nook, 5 items at a time. Small increments, a little bit at a time, baby steps... to the top of Mt. Everest! TM : ) Time Management 12/03/2009
What are you teaching your kids today? Me? I think I'll teach organization skills or do another chapter on time management. We really need to review our time management skills as the first chapter simply flew over our heads! You say you're teaching math? I'll have the kids do math a little later. Just as soon as I have time to find the math book which is in its proper place (not)! TM : ) | E Komo Mai
