YOU 01/14/2011
It's the end of the week and I want to let you know, "You're great!" "You're awesome!" "You're the BEST teacher your kids will ever have." Don't forget. Have a great weekend! TM : ) For You Marina 01/05/2011
I want to let you all know that Marina started homeschooling this year. So if you see her name when she comments, please welcome her. I know that she comes by and visits me (at this site) on a pretty regular basis. Mahalo Marina for stopping by and know that I am here for you. As a matter of fact, I'm here for everyone who needs a verbal hug. So with that in mind, I'm sending you all a big hug and the words that we all need to hear, "You're doing it! You are teaching your kids to be the best at something they love. Good for you!" TM : ) 6 Comments What a Surprise! 11/11/2010
I can't believe it!!! One of you nominated AskTracy for Best Encourager for a homeschool blog at The Homeschool Post! Wow! What an honor! There is voting involved, but just being on the list is such a compliment that I have already won. Today is a beautiful day. No matter what the weather looks like outside. We have the future ahead of us and we are so fortunate to be able to guide our children to be the best that they can be. Keep going, keep moving forward, and breathe! TM : ) Happy Birthday! 11/08/2010
Today is the day that I pat myself on the back and say a little cheer... "Hip, hip, hooray!" What's all the fuss about? I teach my kids about persistence and perseverance and today AskTracyAboutHomeschool.com is a year old! I couldn't have done it without the wonderful readers from all over leaving me kind words in the form of comments and sending me encouraging emails. For those of you that have picked my brain about homeschool, Thank You, as the questions you have asked have stretched my ability to help others. I hope the words you read here encourage you to keep on going. To help teach your children to be the best that they can is an accomplishment that no person or place (traditional school) can ever take away from you. TM : ) Today I got to talk with many homeschool Moms about, can you guess? Yep, homeschool! It's the time of the year when the glow of being a new homeschool family starts to fade and either you're moving right along or the frustrations start to sink in. Most times the second reason wins. The frustration of being new to something so unconventional and out of the box can be rather intimidating. Please remember why you chose homeschool for your kids to begin with. It will encourage you to keep moving forward and help you get through the frustrations of the moment. And it is, just a moment. Find a friend (me?) that can be your shoulder to lean on and lean! You will be amazed at what you thought was frustrating at one time is no longer. Keep going, you can do it, you're doing a great job! Have a wonderful weekend! TM : ) Just Know 10/27/2010
Today is the day I say to myself, "Good job Tracy!" Today is the day you say to yourself, "Good job Self, I did it!" Keep on doing what you do, you are appreciated. You might not hear it enough, but know that you are. TM : ) Ready Freddy? 10/18/2010
Monday again! Gosh these weekends fly by. I hope you are well rested and ready to take on the world! Okay, maybe not the world, but at least ready to take on your kids education. Remember to stay positive when teaching your children and take deep breaths when things get a little hectic. You can do it! TM : ) Say it out Loud 10/08/2010
Repeat after me... "I am awesome!" Come on, just do it! "I give with all my heart." You do, so say it out loud. "It's okay that my kitchen is messy." It really is! "My kids are doing GREAT!" And they are. "I'm so thankful that I am able to guide my family the way I do." So am I! Have a wonderful weekend, you deserve it! TM ; ) I Can't Hear You 10/06/2010
Another day of homeschooling our kids and telling them how great they are. So did you tell yourself how great you are? What? I can't hear you. Louder please. Yes, I'm here to remind you that you are great too, but you need to tell yourself that as well. Between both of us, we should be heard... LOUD & CLEAR! TM : ) What I Do 10/04/2010
Encourage and inspire. Those are the words I use most when writing about homeschool. I've always been quite the cheerleader, and I hope you feel encouraged after leaving this site. Or at least have an insight about what we do and how to feel better after a bit of frustration. I hope this new school year is going well for you so far. If you have any doubts about what you are doing, contact me. Sometimes it's just a matter of someone who understands, and believe me, I do. TM : ) | E Komo Mai
